What You'll Need

TWIC Card

A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the TSA. Required for access to secure port areas.

Apply at TSA.gov

Medical Physical

A D.O.T. Department of Transportation Medical Examiner's Certificate from a licensed medical provider.

In-Person Orientation

After submitting your application, you'll be scheduled for an orientation where you'll complete a drug test and receive union information.

Bring your original documents in person to the union hall — including your Social Security card, TWIC card, driver's license, and medical/physical certificate.

Membership Fees

$1,500 by money order or cashier's check (payable to ILA Local 1408) and $50 in exact cash for drug screening. Both due at orientation.
