How to Join ILA Local 1408
Follow these steps to become a member of ILA Local 1408. Complete all requirements in order to schedule your orientation and finalize your membership.
Step 1: Obtain Required Documents
Before you can apply, you must have the following:
Get Your TWIC Card
Apply for and obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). Apply Online or call 1-855-347-8371.
Complete Your Physical
Schedule and complete a medical physical examination. Obtain your D.O.T. Department of Transportation Medical Examiner's Certificate
Step 2: Upload Your Documents
Once you have your TWIC card and physical confirmation, gather the following documents and upload them using the form below:

Physical Confirmation (documentation from your medical provider)

Driver's License (both sides)

Social Security Card
Step 3: Schedule Your Orientation
After your documents have been submitted and reviewed, you will be eligible to schedule an orientation session.
During orientation, you will:

Complete your drug test

Receive important information about your union membership
